Susan Ann Elizabeth Jane MILLS was born 25 April 1832 in Albermarle (Campbell) Virginia and died 22 May 1918 in Roosevelt (Kiowa) Oklahoma. She was a school teacher and the daughter of Abraham N. MILLS and Jane Meriweather Lewis POINDEXTER.
Susan was married three times; 1st to Joel TROTTER on 30 May 1852 in (Carroll) Missouri; 2nd to Samuel Gilbert BRISTOW, 27 December 1866; and 3rd to Charles Monroe MINNIS in 1885 in (Carroll) Missouri.
She was the mother of nine children as follows:
